Belinda McDonald, PT DPT, Owner

Belinda’s journey exemplifies a steadfast dedication to advancing her skills and knowledge in the realm of physical therapy. Starting with her robust education in South Africa in 1994, she laid a solid groundwork for her career. Her decision to pursue further specialization through a year-long fellowship in Orthopedic Manual Therapy 1997 early on showcased her commitment to excellence.
Upon transitioning to the USA, Belinda ensured she met the necessary certification requirements, indicating her dedication to adhering to professional standards. Her pursuit of additional certifications and continued education over the years underscores her commitment to staying abreast of advancements in her field, earning her Certificate as an Orthopedic Manual Therapist in 2007.
Earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy after becoming certified as a Therapeutic Pain Specialist 2016 marked significant milestones in her career. These achievements not only validated her expertise but also equipped her with the tools to address complex pain conditions effectively.
Belinda’s transition into a faculty role with Evidence in Motion in 2023 demonstrates her desire to share her knowledge and contribute to the professional development of others in Pain Neuroscience Education. Completing a Fellowship in Pain Science in 2023 further solidified her understanding of pain management techniques, highlighting her commitment to lifelong learning.
Her specialization in treating complex and persistent pain conditions, particularly focusing on Autonomic Dysautonomia, showcases her dedication to providing tailored care for patients with challenging presentations. Overall, Belinda’s career trajectory exemplifies a tireless pursuit of excellence and a commitment to delivering high-quality care to her patients.

Nicole Jensen, PT DPT

  • Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of St. Augustine, San Marcos, 2011
  • Bachelor’s of Science in Exercise physiology with a minor in nutrition and psychology from California State University Chico, 2008
  • Nicole’s thirst for knowledge continues to drive her to learn and has since continued her education in Maitland mobilizations, nueromobilizations and pain management

Nicole was a certified massage therapist for 5 years before becoming a physical therapist which enhanced her ability to feel the differences in tissue sensitivity. Her passion is to teach others the tools they need to maintain balance throughout their active healthy life styles. Nicole’s personal experience with tearing her ACL has allowed her to truly understand the medical and rehabilitation process making her more empathetic and eager to help others overcome their injuries. In her free time she enjoys ballroom dancing, Pilates and spending time with her husband and daughter.

Megan Barragato, PT DPT

Megan graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 2022 where she also completed her undergraduate degree in Kinesiology. While in the physical therapy program, she worked in a variety of settings including outpatient ortho, inpatient poly trauma unit at the Palo Alto VA Hospital where she also received her dry needling certification and outpatient pelvic floor therapy. Megan is passionate about working 1 on 1 with patients and has a strong interest in optimizing movement patterns, pain management strategies and manual techniques to improve quality of life. In her free time, Megan enjoys being outdoors, playing basketball and enjoying a beer at a Dodger game! 

Lindsay Chalmers, PT DPT

Lindsay graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Chapman University in 2023. She received a BS in Public Health from the University of Washington where she played beach volleyball.  Bridging her passion for sports and rehabilitation, Lindsay gained diverse experience working in outpatient neuro, outpatient ortho, and with professional athletes while in physical therapy school.  She believes that working one on one with a patient to create an individualized plan of care can allow people to return to doing what they love. In her free time, she enjoys going to the beach, hiking, camping, playing volleyball, and running.

Charles Thorpe, PT DPT

Charles graduated with doctorate of physical therapy from Chapman University in 2023. He was inspired to practice as a manual therapist during his last clinical rotation here at Signature Physical Therapy after seeing the results and impact it can have on improving pain, function, and quality of life with patients. Charles first initially became interested in the field of physical therapy at the age of 14 after rehabbing a knee surgery as a result of overuse from skateboarding. He took this setback as an opportunity to learn and realize our bodies’ amazing potential to heal through physical therapy. He earned a BS in Kinesiology with an emphasis of Exercise Science, at Long Beach State, in 2018 while still actively skateboarding in his free time. While in PT school, Charles became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist to learn how to help patients return to active lifestyles after rehab. While conditioning is important for health/performance, Charles believes it is essential to restore proper mechanics in the body in order to safely return to sport and perform at your highest level. In his free time, Charles enjoys skateboarding, training, hiking, camping, and surfing.


Alex M.

Alex is responsible for administrative duty management, front office staffing, patient scheduling, and medical billing. She has an Associate’s degree in Health Sciences, and an Occupational Certificate for Medical Billing and Coding. Her interest in the medical field was sparked when she began working with a student permit at the age of 14, she was inspired to further her knowledge and studied a variety of healthcare courses in college. Alex joined with Signature Physical Therapy in late May of 2010 and started working at the front desk, she immediately rooted herself in the hearts of the owners and patients. As our practice grew she grew with us-her natural leadership skills, unparalleled compassion, and medical training were catalysts for her moving into the Office Manager position she now conquers.

Lisa Montaño

Lisa began her Pilates journey 10 years ago while recovering from a back injury and has been hooked since. After working in the corporate environment as a corporate trainer and Marketing professional for over 25 years, she followed her passion for Pilates and left corporate work to become an instructor full-time in 2021.  For Lisa, the most gratifying aspect of teaching Pilates is seeing the strength, confidence, and energy that students gain through their Pilates practice.  Lisa is a Certified Stott Pilates instructor.  She earned a B.A. in Comparative Literature from U.C. Berkeley and an MBA from the University of San Francisco.  Lisa played volleyball competitively and spent many years cycling, with a handful of century rides under her belt. Lisa enjoys cycling, walking, cooking, and spending time with her two teenage sons and husband.
